Learning to let go

Without realizing it, we are concentrating all our energy on the past, constantly reliving an episode in our mind; we get stuck thinking about how it could have been better, about what we should have done and didn’t do and feel that we are not able to move forward in the different areas of our life. We cannot let go of that experience that marked us so much, that dark day of our existence and kilometers of other moments that will remain stagnant there and that are an active part of our present. Day by day we remember it, we live it, we cry about it, we feel the same anger, the same fear, the same despair and anxiety. An unconscious part of us stayed there and the other conscious part had to grow.

And you, where did you stay? In your child’s room? where do you live in your mind?

Are you overwhelmed by a feeling of insecurity, of fear and on many occasions of fear that something bad will happen to you? Are you unable to sleep and millions of thoughts cross your mind? And what are you afraid of? What is your biggest fear? Are you afraid of darkness? Are you afraid of speaking in public? Does it distress you to be with a group of people? Are you afraid to express your ideas or feelings for fear of being rejected? Are you afraid of love? Are you afraid of marriage? Are you afraid of having children?…
